Renee and Elisha Herbert On The Launch Of Jumelle Swim

Renee and Elisha Herbert On The Launch Of Jumelle Swim

This unstoppable Aussie duo have been gracing our feeds with major travel (and bod) goals for years. So much that, a swimwear line created exclusively by these bikini-clad influencers truly feels like a long-time-coming rather than a big surprise.

Renee and Elisha Herbert, who are currently living it up in LA, revealed to millions of followers back in July the name of their first business venture together: Jumelle

The ethically-made and luxury swimwear brand is french for "twin" and will be launching September 28th in all sizes inclusive of xxs-xxl.

Today we'll be breaking down all the key deets' and talking all things Jumelle Swim: from bikini manufacturing to the pricing points that were shared in their latest video.

The pair started off by expressing that the brand is 'true to them', with Renee adding: "We grew up around the ocean, around the beach and always wanted our own designs. This business is something that aligns with us so well"

The first campaign for Jumelle was spent on a coastal paradise getaway to Mexico's most stylish beach-town, Tulum. Located just four hours away from LA, Elisha and Renee revealed that they risked the possibility of getting 'stuck' in Mexico due to the current covid climate but shooting the brand was paramount to them, so they packed their bags and off they went.

The look-book we've seen ahead of the initial launch is giving us major tropical vibes, with these raw film moments oozing in a vintage grainy aesthetic.

The first launch will be all about quality over quantity. A small collection of 3 staple bikinis and a bathing suit at a price of $50 USD per bikini item and $80 USD for the one piece.

The pricing-- which can we just say, is super affordable considering there will also be a 5% charity donation to Reef Restoration Foundation included.

This small organisation up in Far North Queensland build coral nurseries back into the Great Barrier Reef to regenerate damaged coral. It's a charity close to Elisha and Renee's heart and one they have worked closely with previously.

The fit and shape of the Jumelle swimwear has been tailored to "accentuate the boobs and be a lil' cheeky on the butt" Elisha shares.

Basically, they're set to be hot AF! We are loving these ultra stylish, minimal-material yet designed to stand out 'kinis that are perfect for twinning with your besties or sisters on a breezy-beach vacay. Seriously, get me on a flight to Tulum ASAP.

One thing we're loving about this pre-launch chat is that the girls have been extremely open about the process, taking us on a journey from start to finish of all the behind-the-scenes movements and all the hard work that goes into creating a luxe bikini brand.

From sketching out over 200 designs which according to them, emerged from their dreams at night, to sourcing manufacturers-- Renee and Elisha stated it was a 'huge learning experience' trying to find a team that they could trust and that was more importantly, ethical.

In the end, they ended up teaming Jumelle with GENFLOW an all-in-one manufacturer, design and marketing group that is renowned for working amongst influencers located in London, UK.

Another ethical practise we have learned so far has been the promise of plastic free packaging.

We can't wait to see what other sustainability ideas Renee and Elisha decide to incorporate with Jumelle further down the line, especially with future collections.

The pair have never been too shy to raise their voice. They work endlessly hands-on using their strong platforms to stand up for issues close to their heart: from ocean pollution, to saving the reef and animal cruelty.
